About Balizi Agri-Action

Empowering rural communities through sustainable agriculture, mentorship, and climate-smart solutions since 2023.

OUR IDENTITY

Who We Are

Balizi Agri-Action (BAA) is a women-founded, community-based organization based in Kigoma District, Tanzania. Born from the collective vision of small-scale women farmers, BAA is more than an initiative; it is a movement for community-led change, economic justice, and environmental resilience.

At BAA we believe that rural women and youth are not passive recipients of aid but powerful leaders of transformation. BAA exists to amplify their voices, strengthen their enterprises, and create a future where prosperity begins from the grassroots.

2023

Our Founding Story

Founded on January 12, 2023, and officially registered in May 2025, BAA emerged from a shared determination among women in Kigoma district to overcome poverty and exclusion through solidarity, innovation, and sustainable agriculture.

Starting with palm oil farming groups, these women expanded their efforts into livestock keeping, aquaculture, and climate-smart practices; proving that when women lead, communities thrive.

"When women farmers succeed, entire communities prosper."
